ASIAN INDENTATION HARDNESS TESTER FOR RUBBERIZED COIR CUSHIONING



Indentation hardness is one of the important properties of rubberized coir cushioning. It related to the behavior of the cushioning under compressive loads and thus determines its suitability for its intended end use.

                The “ASIAN” Indentation Hardness Tester for rubberized coir cushioning consists of a shear beam type load cell over which the test specimen is kept. The test specimen is pressed with an indentor of the specified dimension mounted on self/ aligning ball bearing such that it can adjust its inclination to match the top face of the test specimen.

The indentor can be moved down manually through a hand wheel (as well as by motor and gear box) and screw arrangement, thickness is measured on strip scale and Compression is measured on a digital indicator and the corresponding load is measured on the digital readout of the load cell.
